1. Free Wordpress Theme

Crashes With One Line of Code

Yes, it’s true. IE 6 can be crashed by one short line of code. You don’t even have to be a novice hacker to break a site at its knees by just copy and pasting a line of code. In matter of fact, there’s at least 7 ways to do it!

Lack of PNG Transparency Support

.PNG is a “new’ish” image format that provides crisp and clean graphics while also allowing it to be transparent. This would all be great, but IE6 doesn’t support it’s transparency. Instead of allowing it to be transparent, IE6 gives the image a bland gray background, making the use of transparent .png’s almost useless.

CSS Float + Margin / Padding Issues

This may be one of the most annoying issues with Internet Explorer 6. IE6 adds double the amount of margin or padding on content that is floated the same direction as the margin/padding exists. This makes your site look squished and distorted.

No Minimum Height CSS Support

This is also a very annoying issue when you are building a site that you want to span the entire length of the browser. There is a fix for it, but wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to fix it in the first place?

I think you get the point, right? I think what I am trying to say is…If you are using Internet Explorer 6, do us all a favor, UPDATE YOUR WEB BROWSER! Not only will it benefit you, but eventually web developers won’t have to worry about making their sites work in IE6, and we’ll start using the new tools and techniques to push websites to the next level.

Need some help finding a web browser that will display sites correctly? Look no further than Mozilla Firefox. If you still want to stick with Microsoft’s web browser, then update to Internet Explorer 7.

First, get the .html file that you want to edit.  If you want to change the title for all your pages, you may have to edit all the .html files.  However, most web developers will make the header of the page separate from the page, so you may be able to just edit a header.php file.  If you aren’t sure, contact your web developer.

After you’ve got the file, you are now ready to open it and begin editing.  You can open the files in as simple a program as Notepad, or a better program such as Adobe Dreamweaver, it doesn’t really matter. When you have the files open, look towards the top of the page for the tags <title> </title> .  Contained between these two tags is what displays as your title.  Edit the text, save it, and your done!

Do you own a HDTV? Well if you do then you may be considering buying a “HD” dvd. There are two next-generation dvd’s that promise that extra quality which you’ve come to expect with high definition; HD-DVD and Blu-ray. You may have ran into these at Wal-Mart or Circuit city and been confused at the time, but the confusion may soon be over.

Blu-ray, the leading high definition dvd, has just won exclusivity with Warner Bro’s, one of the top movie makers. Many critics are claiming that the “format wars” between the two different formats are coming to an end, and Blu-ray will be the winner. One of the main examples of success is at this weeks CES 2008, where HD-DVD had to cancel its event due to the bad news.

So, if you were thinking about buying a next-gen dvd player, then you may want to consider buying the Blu-ray player. If you don’t, then you could be a little blue when you find out your favorite movie is only coming out on Blu-ray.
